At Blue Sky Partners we have designed and run over a half dozen incubators and accelerators for non-profits, social impact companies, and individuals with an idea. The goal of each of these, whether supporting Trinity University and the students participating in the Stumberg Competition or an experienced entrepreneur (or non-profit leader), is to simply make it easier to launch, maintain, and scale an organization.

Over the past 7weeks, I have asked over 100 students, seasoned founders, non-profit executive teams, and my LinkedIn community one question, “What low-cost tools do you use frequently that you wish you had known about when you got started?”

Everything below came up multiple times across multiple industries and was recommended with enthusiasm. Note, there are some basics that aren’t here. Things like Google Drive, or email systems, are standard now. Same with many website building tools. Rightly or not, we are assuming that is already front of mind. With that said, here is what folks recommended.
